Can Apple Wallet show a pass automatically based on my location?
Yes, for certain eligible passes. Some Wallet items offer Suggest on Lock Screen, which can surface the pass based on time or location. This option is not available for every card or pass.
What to do
- Open the Wallet app and select the pass you want to check.
- Open its More or Info menu, then Details.
- Look for Suggest on Lock Screen and enable it if available.
- Check that the appropriate location and notification permissions are allowed if the pass does not surface.

Do not confuse Suggest on Lock Screen with Express Mode or Automatic Selection at a reader. These features are separate and available only on supported Wallet items.
