Fix a Problem
How can I reduce unwanted notifications on iPhone?
You can cut down interruptions without silencing every app. Start by changing each app’s notification settings, use Scheduled Summary for non-urgent updates, and configure a Focus for times when you want fewer interruptions.
What to do
- Open Settings > Notifications and select an app that sends too many alerts.
- Turn off its notifications, or change sounds, badges, and where alerts appear.
- Open Settings > Notifications > Scheduled Summary to bundle eligible non-urgent alerts at chosen times.
- For meetings or sleep, configure a Focus and choose which people and apps are allowed through.
Limits and compatibility notes
Check this before relying on the answer
Time-sensitive or other specially delivered notifications may behave differently. Not every app supports per-category controls. Focus and Scheduled Summary solve different problems.
