Fix a Problem
Why does setting certain iPhone alarms require multiple apps or shortcuts?
iPhone's Clock app supports ordinary alarms, while more complex automation or scheduled triggers may require Shortcuts or third-party apps. Needing several steps does not mean basic alarms require multiple apps.
What to do
- Open Clock > Alarms for a standard repeating alarm.
- Use Shortcuts only for a genuinely conditional workflow.
- Test the alert with Focus and Silent mode before relying on it.
Limits and compatibility notes
Check this before relying on the answer
Third-party alarm behavior, permissions, and background execution vary; never rely on an untested automation for a critical wake-up.
