iPhone → Android
What Will I Lose?
Can I move Apple Health data when switching to Android?
You can export your Apple Health and fitness records from iPhone, but Google's standard iPhone-to-Android transfer guidance does not list Health data as a supported transfer. An Apple Health XML export is a backup or interchange file, not a guarantee that a particular Android health app will import it. Whether your records move into an Android app depends on that app's own import options.
What to do
- On iPhone, open Health, go to Summary, and tap your profile picture or initials.
- Choose Export All Health Data and save the exported archive somewhere secure.
- Identify the health or fitness service you plan to use on Android and read its official import or account-sync guidance.
- If both platforms use the same service account, check whether activity history already syncs within that service before attempting a manual import.
- Confirm that important information is present and accurate on Android before deleting the original iPhone or health records.
Limits and compatibility notes
Check this before relying on the answer
Health exports may contain highly sensitive personal information. Store them securely, do not upload them to unknown conversion sites, and do not assume Health Connect or a fitness app accepts Apple's XML format directly. Certain clinical records, watch data, or app-specific fields may not transfer. Consult the destination provider's documentation for exact capabilities.
