iPhone → Android Move Your Stuff

How can I move Apple Notes to an Android phone?

There are now two possible paths. Google's upgraded iPhone-to-Android transfer flow lists Notes as a supported data type on eligible devices, but the classic transfer methods do not. If your Android setup does not offer Notes transfer, Apple Notes can export individual notes as Markdown or PDF, which you can save and access from Android or manually move into a different notes app.

What to do

  1. Before the switch, back up your iPhone and make sure your most important notes and attachments are accessible.
  2. During Android setup, review the transfer method offered by your exact phone; if an upgraded transfer offers Notes, select it and verify the results.
  3. If Notes is not supported, open each important Apple Note, tap Share, and use Export as Markdown or the PDF export action where available.
  4. Save the exported files somewhere you can access on the Android phone, such as a supported cloud drive.
  5. Decide which notes should remain as readable files and which need to be recreated as editable notes in Google Keep or another app.
  6. Check checklists, scans, attachments, locked notes, and links before deleting the originals.

Limits and compatibility notes

Check this before relying on the answer Google's upgraded transfer is device/method dependent, not a guarantee for every Android phone. Apple Notes exports may not preserve interactive checklists, links between notes, or full contents of multipage scanned attachments in PDF export. A Markdown or PDF file is not automatically an editable Google Keep note. Keep the original notes until verified.
