Android → iPhone Get Used to It

Can iPhone close all running apps or tabs at once?

You can close individual iPhone apps in the app switcher, but routinely closing all apps is not needed for normal battery or performance management. Safari tab management is a separate task.

What to do

  1. Open the App Switcher and swipe up only an app that is frozen.
  2. In Safari, use its tab controls to manage open pages.
  3. Restart the phone if an app remains unresponsive.

Limits and compatibility notes

Check this before relying on the answer Do not describe a force-close-all button as a standard iPhone feature; iOS and browser tab controls differ.
