Android to iPhone Duo
Switching to iPhone Duo? Check your data, number and daily workflows.
Start with your current phone and whether the Duo has been set up. The key decisions are separate: moving content, activating cellular service and checking the Android features you use every day.
Official product and support guidance reviewed 22 October 2026. SwitchHelp has not tested individual Android apps or carriers on iPhone Duo.
1. Move your data
During initial setup, Apple documents Android-to-iPhone transfer for contacts, messages, photos, files and eligible WhatsApp content. Some supported Android 17 devices can use an app-free route; others use Move to iOS. App data and purchases need separate checks.

2. Prepare your number
Duo has no physical SIM slot anywhere in the world. Direct Android eSIM transfer depends on the carrier and compatible devices; Apple also documents an eligible transfer after setup. Ask your carrier about activation if direct transfer is unavailable.

3. Map your Fold workflow
Duo supports two apps side by side on its inner display and saved app pairs. Samsung documents split-screen and pop-up windows on supported Galaxy Fold models. Do not assume the window layouts or your particular apps behave identically.

4. Check apps and purchases
Check whether each essential Android app has an iPhone version, whether its account syncs and whether local data or purchases are portable. No general list proves that every third-party app uses Duo’s inner display well.
